how it all started for jaime
I was born and raised in Queens, NY. The earliest I can remember, I was bursting with creativity and ambition out that little brain of mine. I grew up in a humble low-income neighborhood, but for as long as I can remember, I always had an imagination that made my world feel bright and full of possibility.
Eventually, life happened and as I reached high school, my light started to dim. I rarely got to see my mother since she was always on graveyard shift, and my father worked 12-14 hour shifts everyday. I felt alone and struggled deeply with social anxiety. I wanted to give up and couldn't imagine a future for myself anymore.
But even in that darkness, my dad made sure I was never hungry. He fed me so well, it sparked my love for food. In our home, food was love. It was how we connected when words felt too hard to find.
The loneliness eventually led me to live streaming, where I found connection, friendship, and a sense of belonging. I rediscovered that little spark of mine! Soon after, I started my clothing brand, Ebiko, and reconnected with my love for cooking as an adult.
Now, I make cooking content to share that passion—with food as my love language and creativity as my voice. I'm playful at heart and believe the best art comes from a free spirit, but it's my tough past that gives me the discipline to bring that imagination to life.
I’m so happy we’ve crossed paths, dear reader! You are the sun in your life and deserve to shine however way you'd like. Let’s connect! <3
